women's health services

Women deserve to feel supported, confident, and able to move through their daily lives without being held back by disruptive perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms. Changes during this stage of life can vary widely and may include symptoms such as vaginal dryness, discomfort with intimacy, hot flashes, night sweats, reduced libido, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating or “brain fog.” These experiences are common, and they can have a meaningful impact on overall quality of life.

Our providers take a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to understanding what you are experiencing. In addition to evaluating hormone balance, we also consider other potential contributing factors such as thyroid function, vitamin and nutrient deficiencies, and metabolic health when clinically appropriate. This broader assessment helps ensure that nothing important is overlooked.

Schedule your consultation to speak with a provider and discuss your concerns in more detail. We are here to listen, evaluate, and work with you to develop an individualized plan that supports your health and helps you move forward with greater comfort, clarity, and confidence.

Smiling Women Outdoors

XLR8 Hormone Health works with patients experiencing symptoms associated with perimenopause or menopause. Our providers focus on individualized care, patient education, and safety throughout the evaluation and treatment process. We believe informed patients make better healthcare decisions, and we strive to ensure each patient understands their treatment options, potential benefits, and risks. Treatment recommendations are based on a provider's clinical assessment and each patient's unique health needs.

How It Works

  1. Initial consultation – You meet with a healthcare provider to discuss your symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals.

  2. Laboratory testing – If you choose to proceed, XLR8 orders blood tests to evaluate your hormone levels and other relevant health markers.

  3. Lab review appointment – After the lab work is completed, a provider reviews the results with you in detail.

  4. Personalized treatment plan – The provider & you work to develop a treatment plan based on your symptoms and laboratory findings.

  5. Prescription (if appropriate) – If hormone replacement therapy is recommended, a prescription is sent to the pharmacy.

  6. Ongoing monitoring – Follow-up blood work is used to monitor hormone levels and treatment effectiveness:

    • Routine lab testing is typically performed every 3 months.

    • If treatment is started or a dosage is changed, labs are repeated about 6 weeks later to assess the response and determine whether adjustments are needed.

Purpose of the Follow-Up Labs

Regular monitoring helps providers:

  • Ensure hormone levels remain in the target range.

  • Assess symptom improvement.

  • Identify potential side effects or safety concerns.

  • Adjust dosages when necessary.

Estrogen plays an important role in overall health and wellness. It helps support bone strength, brain and mood function, heart health, and reproductive tissue health.

When levels decline, especially during perimenopause and menopause, some individuals may experience symptoms such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, mood changes, and decreased bone density.

Hormone therapy is prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider after appropriate lab testing and clinical evaluation to help restore hormonal balance when medically appropriate.

Progesterone is a naturally occurring hormone that plays a key role in regulating the menstrual cycle and supporting overall hormonal balance.

In hormone therapy, progesterone is often prescribed to help support uterine health and may also help with symptoms such as sleep disturbances, mood changes, and cycle-related hormonal fluctuations.

Progesterone may be prescribed in different forms, including oral capsules and topical (transdermal) cream, depending on individual needs and provider recommendations.

  • Oral progesterone is commonly used for systemic support and is typically taken at bedtime due to its calming effect.

  • Progesterone cream is a topical option that is absorbed through the skin and may be used as part of individualized hormone therapy plans.

Progesterone therapy is prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider after appropriate laboratory testing and clinical evaluation to ensure safe, individualized treatment.

*** IMPORTANT****

Why Progesterone Is Needed with Estrogen Therapy

When estrogen is used in hormone therapy and a person still has a uterus, progesterone is often prescribed alongside it to help maintain uterine health.

Estrogen helps build up the lining of the uterus (the endometrium). If estrogen is used alone over time, this lining can become too thick, which may increase the risk of endometrial hyperplasia and, in some cases, endometrial cancer.

Progesterone helps balance this effect by:

  • Supporting regular shedding of the uterine lining

  • Helping protect the endometrium from overgrowth

  • Promoting a more balanced hormonal environment when estrogen is used long-term

Because of this protective role, progesterone is commonly included in hormone therapy plans for individuals with a uterus who are taking estrogen.

Progesterone is prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider after appropriate evaluation and laboratory testing to ensure safe and individualized treatment.

Vyleesi® (bremelanotide) is a prescription medication used to treat hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women. HSDD is characterized by a persistent or recurrent lack of sexual desire that causes distress and is not due to a medical condition, relationship issue, or other medication. Vyleesi is used to help improve sexual desire in situations where the low desire is acquired and not lifelong or situational, and it is intended to be used only under the guidance of a healthcare provider.

Advanced Renewal Cream (Estriol, Tretinoin, Alpha-Lipoic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, & Vitamin C)

Advanced Renewal Cream is typically a compounded topical skincare formulation that may combine multiple active ingredients intended to support skin rejuvenation, hydration, and improvement in overall skin texture and tone.

A formulation such as one containing estriol, tretinoin, alpha-lipoic acid, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C is generally used under medical supervision for concerns like fine lines, photoaging, uneven pigmentation, and skin laxity.

  • Estriol: a mild estrogen that may support collagen production and skin thickness in certain hormone-responsive skin conditions.

  • Tretinoin: a retinoid that increases skin cell turnover and is widely used for acne and photoaging.

  • Alpha-lipoic acid: an antioxidant that may help reduce oxidative stress in the skin.

  • Hyaluronic acid: a humectant that helps improve skin hydration and plumpness.

  • Vitamin C: an antioxidant that supports collagen synthesis and helps improve skin brightness and uneven tone.

It should be used only as directed by a healthcare provider, as ingredients like tretinoin and hormones such as estriol can cause irritation or have specific contraindications depending on skin type, medical history, and concurrent treatments.

Price: $110 for 30g bottle

Because dosing is individualized, the duration of use may vary from patient to patient.

NAD+

Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+) is a naturally occurring coenzyme found in every cell of the body and plays a vital role in cellular energy production and metabolic function. As NAD+ levels naturally decline with age, some women choose NAD+ therapy as part of a personalized wellness program.

Under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider, NAD+ therapy may help support healthy energy levels, mental clarity, and overall well-being. Treatment plans are individualized based on each patient's health history, goals, and clinical evaluation.

Our medical team provides ongoing monitoring and guidance to help determine whether NAD+ therapy is an appropriate option for your wellness journey.

Results vary by individual. NAD+ therapy is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. A medical consultation is required to determine eligibility and appropriateness of treatment.

Price: $185 per 10 mL vial.

Each vial may provide up to 10 weeks of therapy, depending on your provider's prescribed dosage and treatment plan. Because dosing is individualized, the duration of use may vary from patient to patient.

Sermorelin

Sermorelin is a growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog that works by stimulating the body's natural production of growth hormone. Under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider, sermorelin may be incorporated into a personalized treatment plan for eligible patients.

Our providers conduct a comprehensive medical evaluation to determine whether sermorelin therapy is appropriate based on your health history, symptoms, laboratory findings, and treatment goals. Throughout treatment, patients receive ongoing monitoring to support safety and individualized care.

Some patients report improvements in overall well-being, recovery, sleep quality, and vitality while participating in provider-directed treatment programs. Because every patient is unique, treatment plans and results vary.

Individual results may vary. Sermorelin therapy is prescribed only when clinically appropriate following evaluation by a licensed healthcare provider. This treatment is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Price: $250 for 10mL Vial

Because dosing is individualized, the duration of use may vary from patient to patient.
