GLP-1 (SEMAGLUTIDE)
GLP-1 / GIP (tirzEPATIDE)
GLP-1 injections offer powerful benefits for qualified candidates seeking sustainable weight loss and improved overall health. When combined with healthy lifestyle changes such as proper nutrition and regular exercise, these treatments can help:
-
Significantly reduce body weight with steady, consistent weight loss over time
-
Lower the risk of heart and cardiovascular disease by helping you achieve and maintain a healthy weight
-
Improve overall health and well-being
Originally developed as a treatment for type 2 diabetes, GLP-1 medications are now widely recognized for their effectiveness in supporting weight loss, metabolic health, and inflammation control.
These medications work by mimicking the body’s natural GLP-1 hormone, which helps regulate blood sugar levels, reduce appetite, and slow digestion. By decreasing glucagon secretion and delaying gastric emptying, GLP-1 injections help control hunger, increase feelings of fullness, and support sustainable weight management.
Tirzepatide is part of an innovative class of medications known as dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonists. These treatments are designed to enhance metabolic function and promote meaningful, sustained weight loss. By imitating two naturally occurring hormones that regulate blood sugar, improve insulin response, and curb appetite, this therapy delivers a comprehensive approach to weight management, energy balance, and overall metabolic wellness.
Recent studies also indicate that dual GIP/GLP-1 therapies may help lower systemic inflammation, an important factor in supporting metabolic health and long-term well-being.
ADMINISTRATION
GLP-1 therapy is administered once weekly through a simple subcutaneous injection. Treatment typically begins at a lower dose, which is gradually adjusted over time to ensure optimal results while minimizing side effects. Your exact dosage will be personalized based on your health profile, weight, and individual response to the medication. Many patients begin noticing weight loss within approximately 4 to 6 weeks after starting treatment, with continued progress as therapy continues.
COMPOUNDED OPTION
This medication is also available through a 503A compounding pharmacy, offering customized dosing to meet your specific needs. The compounded formulation includes added vitamin B12 for additional nutritional support.
SIDE EFFECTS FROM GLP-1'S AND GLP-1 / GIP
As with any medication, some individuals may experience side effects. Common reactions can include headaches, tiredness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, dizziness, mood changes, constipation or diarrhea, heartburn, and bloating.
Although uncommon, more serious complications may occur, such as inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), allergic reactions, kidney problems, gallbladder issues including gallstones, and other rare adverse effects. Patients are closely monitored to help ensure safety throughout treatment.

Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+)
What is NAD+?
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a molecule naturally produced by your body and found in every cell. It plays an important role in normal cellular energy production and other processes that help cells function properly.
Why Is NAD+ Important?
NAD+ is involved in several essential functions, including:
-
Energy production: Helps cells convert nutrients into usable energy.
-
Cellular maintenance: Participates in processes involved in maintaining healthy cells.
-
DNA repair: Supports enzymes involved in the body's normal DNA repair processes.
-
Mitochondrial function: Plays a role in how cells produce energy.
-
Cell signaling: Helps regulate important cellular processes.
NAD+ and Aging
NAD+ metabolism changes as we age, and NAD+ levels may decline in certain tissues. This has led researchers to investigate the potential role of NAD+ in healthy aging and cellular function.
Research into NAD+ therapies and NAD+ precursors is ongoing. While early studies have generated interest, more clinical research is needed to determine the long-term benefits, appropriate dosing, and which patients may benefit.
What Are NAD+ Precursors?
Some products, including nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), are studied because they can participate in pathways involved in NAD+ production.
These compounds are not the same as NAD+ itself, and research is still developing regarding their potential clinical benefits.
Is NAD+ Right for You?
NAD+ is an important part of normal cellular biology and an active area of research in longevity and wellness.
If you're considering NAD+ supplementation or therapy, our medical team can review your health history, medications, and individual goals to determine whether it may be appropriate for you.
Our approach is personalized, medically guided, and focused on evidence-based care.
